LABORATORY SERVICES

Laboratory Services

No one wants to wait for critical information when lives are at stake. With Ascom wireless communications, ordering physicians are automatically notified when selected results are ready – wherever they are. They no longer have to pick up the phone or check the fax, email or hospital intranet. The information finds them. The system generates a message notifying the ordering physician that a patient’s laboratory results are ready.

Wireless communications can also alert the person responsible for the diagnostic analyser and the Laboratory Information System about errors that may cause downtime if not acted upon promptly.

The on-site wireless communications speeds up response. Laboratory staff and ordering physicians can communicate instantly, using voice or interactive messaging, while on the move. It puts people from different departments in the same system. It does wonders for teamwork.
