NL Technologies helps Ascom expand into mining industry

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC - Ascom (US) Inc., a leading developer of on-site wireless communications solutions, is pleased to announce that NL Technologies (NLT) has signed up to be a Silver Level Certified Solution Partner. NLT, headquartered in Toronto, Canada, services underground mining customers throughout the world and will be a reseller of Ascom’s Freeset IP-DECT, FreeNET VoWiFi systems and UNITE Messaging Software Suite. NLT is an industry leader focusing on designing mine communication systems, networks and applications for the underground environment, including robust networks for the hard rock environment and intrinsically safe coal mining networks.

The Ascom Freeset IP-DECT and FreeNET VoWiFi systems offer customers two different technology choices when installing a standards-based on-site wireless solution. Both technology solutions offer portable handsets that are durable with large backlit displays, hands-free operation and emergency features including man-down and no movement. The Ascom UNITE Messaging Software Suite can easily be integrated into the Northern Light Digital Mine™ Software Suite.
